Bellagio e l’arte del vetro soffiato‏

Bellagio on a winter’s day has a charm all of its own; the shutters are down as the shop fronts prepare to brace themselves against the elements and seagulls cry out to the odd passer-by.

The few hardy tourists wandering around this lakeside town in Como are rewarded with breathtaking views of the water and surrounding mountains as they climb the ancient steps to the square.

Bellagio is famous around the world for the traditional art of glass blowing. We spoke to Anita Colombo, partner and master glass blower at I Vetri di Bellagio in Via Roma.
